Sip and See

This morning, along with these lovely ladies, I helped host a sip and see in honor of baby Bennett and super, sweet Sally. I wish you could see his face in this picture, because he's a punkin baby, complete with cheeks to die for! And 192 of these little sweet rolls {I changed the name of them today, per request from a friend who loves them, but doesn't love the implication of the former name, butter rolls. Though, I'm pretty sure with one stick of Crisco, they're allowed to be butter rolls!} later, made by hand, from scratch, from yours truly!

Patience Is A Virtue

After being at home for basically six days, I'm starting to get frustrated and maybe lose my mind! Maybe I need some fresh air! Maybe these {countless} dirty diapers and antibiotic accidents from both boys are about to do me in! Maybe I just need to refocus.

However, when I saw these two, who INSISTED on helping me in the kitchen with my four batches of butter rolls {possibly the stress causer} I remembered what my job is in this stage of my life. And then, I caught myself breathing in and out! Creighton was giving Griffin a puff in hopes of appeasing him...for a while.

Oh, sweet Creighter, these past few days, little loves I know that feeling all too well!

{Edited: Once I got out of the kitchen and on their level, all normal tones and patience, returned.}

Today.

Since I can't show the three of us being home alone. I can't show the accidents, one after another from the medicine my boys are on for their ears and strep. Since I can't show me in the shower or Creighton coming to say, "Mom, I opened the backdoor to check on our snowman." or the panic in my face because I knew he was trying to convey the alarm was beeping or me grabbing a towel and running through the house to the keypad. And because I can't show the actual house alarm sounding off through the neighborhood or anything else that was so eventful from our day.
I'll settle on these pictures. I should remember to pick up everything to adult only level and throw out all our trash. If not, I'm just allowing myself more mess to pick up!

Creighton's creativeness taking overtaking the house!

Sunshine

There is something so refreshing to feel the warmth of the sun shining through the windows after the peaceful, cold snow. Today, I needed this sun.

Today, I felt an outside warmth from the sunlight and an inner warmth from sweet, kindhearted friends. This once-again sickness that has plagued our home, has given my friends ways to be God's hands and feet, to bless me. I think I received seven emails from various girls in my different circle of friends offering to bring us dinner, grocery shop, and run my errands. Though, I didn't feel that we needed that kind of help, just the offers reminded me how lucky we are in this community. One sweet friend, didn't ask permission, she just surprised me and left this warm, caramel apple cider on my doorstep. {Sweet friend, your gesture was a blessing to my day!} And these two littles are really enjoying their new found playtime together in the sunlight. And yes, that is Griffin about to crawl!

Mr. Snowie

Meet the hunting snowman the boys {minus Griffin} built. The snow was a wonderful treat on this sick, at home day!

There's a Party Goin' On Over Here

Before Griffin toppled over, both boys were actively and happily playing their musical instruments. Note the gun that Creighton strategically places on his pea-an-e-o and uses for a microphone, though the actual keyboard came with one, a real one!

Oh, I can just imagine how much more wonderful life will become when they can play together.

Oh, Be Careful Little Eyes

C: "Oh, wait Mom, I'm texting. I just texted Daddy. "
M: "What did you tell him?"
C: "I told him just to meet us over at supper club and he said okay. He'll be there after his game."
M: "Oh, good!"

I is for

I love you! Both of these boys! We had just finished our Letter of the Week: I/i field trip to, IHop and Creighton said, "I want to go to the bear pit!" Since his sentence started with the Letter of the Week, we agreed. No bear, but all smiles!

Look Who

This little tooter must have been playing too close to Big Brother, because he woke up with the same double pink eye! Luckily, we have some extra eye drops. Two drops twice a day is not an easy task for a six month old or a three year old!

Cemented

Creighton {contageous with pink eye & couldn't go to the church nursery} was sent to Abilene with Benjie so I could still attend my Beth Moore bible study.

Mom {Mimi} and Dad {Pop-Pop} kept him while Benjie worked and entertained him with three, large cement trucks. They are pouring a patio and sidewalk to my dad's new BBG {big, big garage}.

Eyes

When Creighton sadly came down with double pink eye, Griffin was melting me with his eyes. Oh, these boys, the apples of my eyes.

It Appears

It appears to not be such a good day at our house! However these pictures may look, these episodes were contained occurrences. Not happy that I was trying to open his mouth and look at his top two teeth coming in or the bottom third one that appeared. Not happy at all that I just sprayed him with silly string in attempt to make a fun activity. Lesson learned.

All Aboard!

For a three year old birthday in honor of this special one, Tristan.
Little Friends, freezing as they rode the choo-choo at Tristan's birthday party.
And the three amigos playing some football post party! Oh, that they would remain friends forever. Maybe not realistic, but that's my hearts desire.

BIG Day

The four of us went to Sesame Street Live with some friends this morning. Surprisingly, we all enjoyed the show. Then we headed straight to the Baylor game. Can you tell these boys are having the time of their lives, all the while, oh, so tired!

Little T turns Three

We took Tristan to Chuck-E-Cheese and Cold Stone for his third birthday celebration with us. We stayed out way too late, but the boys {all four of them} and this Mamma had a great time.

Breakfast For Dinner

When the weather turned bad {well, cold and almost snowy} we opted for a night at home. We "dug" in the pantry for something to eat for dinner. We made Valentines Egg Toast, bacon {only ahd three pieces} and deer sausage. It turned out pretty tasty!

Workin'

Along with a big mess, Creighton is working on his letter of the week: E sign. That lasts about ten minutes and the paper eggs you see beside him, those turned into a snowman on the back of the paper. He obviously didn't follow my instructions!

C is for...

When Colton came over after school, they boys were playing trains in the kitchen {and all over the house}. Creighton yelled, "Hey, Mom! Look, I made a "C" for Colton and Creighton!"

Love is in the Air

Creighton decided to give his classmates at Mother's Day Out his three favorite red/pink candies for their Valentines Exchange tomorrow: Skittles, Starburst and Sweedish Fish {which we call Fish is Fish}. He used his pointer finger and an ink pad to make the hearts where we signed his name.

Big Tristan's Day

We went to Pearland last night to celebrate Tristan's ninth birthday! I can't believe he's so big! While we were there, we got to watch his basketball game {and witness some over-into-it parents and coaches} and celebrate at his family party. All the grandkids, minus Deacon, who was upset somewhere off to the side, upset that he wanted some candy from the concession stand. The birthday boy and his family. And my little tubby, who obviously can't be left alone in the bathtub! Turning over is a new thing- and I lust love his thick thighs.

My Littlest Love

When Creighton hit the road to Pearland with Mimi and Pop-Pop, Griffin hung around the house with me while we waited for Benjie to get off work. In doing so, we had a little photo shoot of our own...until he got worn out and tired and ready to be done!
Just wanted to document him sitting up. And smiling. It's been a normal occurance. The sitting up. And the smiling.

Happy Half

Happy Half Birthday to my little six month old! Oh, how I wish time would freeze. Just for a while.

Bare Bobo

When I finally made it into Griffin's room at the sound of his nap ending, I must have been a few steps too late, because this is what I found! I guess Big Brother hot stepped it from the restroom when he heard his little brother crying.

You never, ever know what you'll find around here!

Couldn't Decide

When we pulled out the gift Creighton selected for Griffin's Christmas gift {yes, just today}, I don't know which one loved it more! Though, Griffin, had a great time.

Big Brother explaining the procedures in using the toy. Or maybe just hogging it! Music must just be in our boys' blood. They both love to play and sing. This shouts attitude to me!
